When it comes to the flagship iOS from Apple, nothing is quite what it seems. Take the iOS 11 for instance, Apple’s latest and most powerful OS till date. It will release in some months and when it does, it will prove to be a big bonus for the American giant, we believe. In case you are using an Apple iPhone or an iPad, you will look to upgrade to the iOS 11. You will be able to do that, however, only if your device is on this list of iOS 11 supported devices.
iOS 11 Supported Devices: Why The Need of A List?
When it comes to all modern software, like the iOS 11, there is a constant race going on between the software and the hardware front. Remember that all such races are never won by the same side again and again. This is the Apple iPhone’s tenth year and hence, it is bound to have a few aces up their sleeves. For starters, from the iOS 11 onwards, there will only be support for 64-bit apps and all 32-bit apps will now be defunct.
This basically means that some of the earlier devices manufactured by Apple will not be able to run the latest and the most updated iOS. So, in case you have any device on this list which will not support the iOS 11, you have two options: either you will have to upgrade to any newer device or stick to using the older device but also sticking to the iOS 10 or below.
This move by Apple is not unprecedented, however. All companies exist to make a profit. If Apple continues to support all older devices, many users will not upgrade to their devices. This will not be good for business.
